Cooper’s BBQ – Done!

We’re using our weekends to get our to-do list done. Yesterday, we traveled to Llano, Texas to eat at Cooper’s BBQ. There is no one place in Texas that has the best BBQ. But there are places that have the best of something. Cooper’s is known for having the best pork chop, I wouldn’t know because I still haven’t tried it. For me, I really enjoy their sausage and BBQ sauce.

To order your meat, you walk up to the pit and tell them what you want. As they gather your food, they dip it into a big pot of BBQ sauce and slap it on a tray.

So tasty, I could just do shots of it!

Blackberry Cobbler, tasty but there are better around.

The drive out to Llano takes about an hour. Usually, we drive out there, eat for 30 minutes and come back. Drive an hour to east for 30 minutes. It’s a long way to go just to eat, so this time we made a little detour on our way back.

From here, we went down the road to Luckenbach, Texas, population: 3.

After leaving Luckenbach we stopped off at a local farmers store. Fredricksburg is known for their peaches, so we couldn’t leave without some fresh ones.

It’s been a long time since we taken a little trip like that.
