I Can’t Get Out Fast Enough
The house has been SOLD! Well, not quite. Officially, we close on the house tomorrow at 11am. But we got a sign on the house saying it’s sold. That’s good enough for me. After signing away that house, a huge weight will be lifted off of our shoulders.
We moved in our temporary apartment at Limestone Ranch this past week. We found the sub lease on Craigslist and it was perfect for us. The lease ends on September 30, comes with a garage, and a storage unit. The storage alone will allow us to get rid of the storage unit at Bulldog Storage. So some money will be saved.
The bad part about the apartments, it’s nicknamed Crimestone Ranch. Lovely. It’s only for 2 months…2 looooong months. ugh.
In celebration of the closing, we will be going to Chuy’s for some mexican martinis. I can’t wait for the deliciousness to touch my lips…and the buzz that will follow.
This time tomorrow, we will no longer be home owners!!!
I bet you don’t hear someone gettin excited about that a lot.
One step closer to Raleigh, North Carolina.

Oh wow. Congratulations on a new house. Yeah, seeing that “SOLD” sign really feels good.

I had always wanted to own a home…then when we finally bought we realized what a pain in the ass ownership can be. Broken water heaters, flooding with a plumbing break, taxes, homeowners insurance, blah-blah-blah.
I’m thinking I’d like to see a sold sign in front of ours in the next year or two (to avoid capital gains) IF the market stabilizes after the election.
Good luck in Crimestone Ranch

I think there are a lot of people happy to get out from under a house payment with the way the economy’s going! Good luck!

We sold our house less than a year ago just at the start of the housing decline. You are so lucky to have been able to find a buyer in this market! Congratulations!
