I am going to be working on a new theme for SRR.com. I have grown tired of this 2 column layout(Big surprise!). I am going to try and work on a 3 column so that I can start posting some pictures in the posts.

Who do you think of when I say the Greatest of All Time? Ali? Ricky Carmichael? Tyson (lol)? no! You think of Sir Robbie Rob himself…or at least you should be…ok, ok only my Mom, Sister and Wife. Just give it some time and all the rest of you will soon be saying “Sir Robbie Rob? He’s the Greastest of all time!”.
Becoming the GOAT isn’t as easy as you may think. It is going to take a lot of work, mental and physical, and a ton of heart. *Starts to play “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor (or if you prefer you can mentally picture the CKY version of the song)*
The jokes aside, The past couple of practices that I have had have been pretty much crap. I think I have hit a wall when it comes to improving my skills. So I have started to read up on workout routines for mx riders. With everything I have gathered I have come up with my own workout routine which I will start…yesterday!
Here is a breakdown of what the workout will consist of.
That will cover the riding portion of the routines. I will also need to be doing some exercises to better myself when I get on the bike. The goal of the cross training is to have fun. If I don’t have fun with it I am going to loose interest in it. To make the training more fun I am going to use a points based system. Something like this:
Run 1 mile = 1 point, cycle 3 miles = 1 point, Mt. bike 2 miles = 1 point, swim 1/4 mile = 1 point, rock climb 1 hour = 1 point, airdyne or row 1/2 hour = 1 point, 1 set tennis = 1 point, rollerblade 2 miles = 1 point, 1/2 hour weights = 1 point
For the first couple of weeks I am going to work towards 50 points a week. That should be like running 50 miles. *puke* This will also be logged in the logbook/journal.
I will give it a few weeks and see how it goes. If anyone out there wants to join in with me, shoot me an email.
The workout routines has taken peices of other peoples workout and made into my own. Thanks to texasoffroad.net, 5 Magic MX School, and google for the information I used to compile this.
I have been seriously slacking when it comes to updating the blog with the current happenings. I am currently trying my hardest to get www.undercoverfoodcritics.com and www.theswalls.com up and going. They are taking up much of my time when I am on the computer. But I am going to start making an effort and make a posting here at least every other day. That is how much I love you all.
August turned out to be a crappy month for any improvements on the bike. Mainly due to the fact I didn’t have the bike but also because all of the stuff we have going on with the house.
For anyone out there needing interior or exterior paint work done….DON’T USE BOURGET PAINT! The work was complete crap.
Anyway, How are you doing? Really thats fantasticle! Me? Besides the case of the runs I am doing awesome.
I am going to make another post later today about riding. Peace Out!
